Felida and North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Associations, Salmon Creek Lions, Hazel Dell
- Salmon Creek Business Association, Fire District #6, Clark County Sheriff's Office -
West Precinct, WSU - Extension Programs, Family of Christ Lutheran Congregation, Clark
County Restorative Justice - Juvenile Program, Felida Christian Church and others partner
with the Felida NA and volunteer or provide support for the annual Children's July 4 Parade
and Celebration in Felida. Many organizations provide info on community services and
environment.
Tentative schedule:
10:45am - line up in Felida Park, at NW 122nd Avenue
11:00 am - streets close for parade
11:15am - parade commences
11:35am - parade returns to Felida Park --picnic, lunch, exhibits, games
12:30pm - Lewis & Clark Expedition formal half-hour presentation #1

Stream Stewards Fly Fishing Workshop
Saturday, July 25, 2009, 10:00am to 12:00pm
Learn about the timeless sport of fly-fishing! The upcoming workshop is designed for
first time fly-fishers. This hands-on workshop covers the basics of fly tying, stream
ecology and casting techniques. Participants will also learn about the importance of
conservation in the Salmon Creek watershed.
The class is an exclusive Stream Stewards opportunity as is not open to the general
public. All equipment and materials will be provided. Reserve your spot by contacting
Lisa Beranek, StreamTeam Coordinator.

How time flies when you are having fun! During these past two years, we have accomplished many things, including organization steps, obtaining our IRS 501(c)3 approval, and many steps aimed at improving our watershed. Please join our efforts.
The kiosks, one at each end of the Salmon Creek Trail, are wooden signs that have pamphlet holders. You will find information about the Salmon Creek Watershed Council and and its efforts to fulfill our mission
to provide a forum for citizens and organizations residing in Clark County to participate and partner on the ground restoration, water quality and advocacy of the Salmon Creek Watershed.Brad completed the work mid-August 2008, so check it out on your next walk on the trail!
